Here are two useful links for celebrating Holy Week at home.
Virtual Childrens Liturgy is now available courtesy of the good people over at CAFOD. It can be found here and is live at 10am – you have to register which takes about two minutes so be there early if you need to do this. #praytogether
Following this evenings announcement that we are not to leave our houses except for absolute essentials church will be closed for the foreseeable future.
So? What is it like to watch mass online? Is it not a bit wierd – members of the parish who used the online facilities today said:
“He preached really well.”
“I’m really glad I did it and felt part of it. The priest said the responses but I found myself saying the responses too. I felt sad too as there was no one in the church sharing the mass but it also made it more personal in a way”
Church will be open for private prayer each Saturday and Sunday between 9.00 and 17.00. Please do bear in mind that we have all been asked to keep “socially distancing” (being 2 meters apart at all times).
No masses until further notice. Due to the Covid-19 outbreak we have been advised to suspend all public acts of worship for the foreseeable future. This decision has been taken by the Bishop’s Conference of England and Wales and will be reviewed regularly. Check back to this website for regular updates.
